About Ariana

Ariana is a graduate student at The Hartt School, a music, dance, and theater conservatory based in West Hartford, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Music (for Instrumental Performance on the Violin) and now is enrolled in the Master's Degree program at The Hartt School for Violin Performance with Suzuki Pedagogy Emphasis.

Ariana currently studies with Anton Miller; Previous teachers include Netta Hadari, Anthea Kreston, Pavel Eret, and Veronica Germaine. Ariana has been passionate about music from a very early age. Growing up in Southington, Ariana began lessons at age four and a half and was performing with the middle school musicians of the Silver Star Orchestra by age seven. She supplemented her music curriculum with private lessons and by participating in youth orchestras, from Hartt Community Division to Neighborhood Music School to Thames Valley. In high school, she participated all of the Connecticut Music Educator's Association All-State and Regional Festivals. At age 17, she performed at Carnegie Hall with the Greater New Haven Youth Orchestra playing Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 10.

Ariana now participates in many professional and local orchestras around the state, including the New Britain Symphony Orchestra, Beth el Temple Orchestra, Hartford Opera Theatre, and more. She has traveled to music festivals around the world: From just around the corner in Massachusetts to across the pond in the Czech Republic and Greece. She also freelances around Connecticut, playing solo and chamber works at special events including fundraisers, weddings, and receptions.
